RCS is proud to announce the upcoming RCS Cougar Cup Tournament to be held on December 14, 2024! This is a NIETOC Bid Qualifying tournament. This tournament will consist of 3 rounds plus finals with events split into A and B waves.

Entries:

Each school may enter a maximum of 4 entries in each event. You may add additional entries to the waitlist and if room permits, we will add waitlisted entries. Entries will be handled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Entry Fees:

Entry fees are $12 per individual event, $8 per Congress entry, and $24 per partnered event (Duo or PF). Please make checks payable to Resurrection Christian School. Mailing address: 6508 E Crossroads Blvd., Loveland, CO 80538

Double Entries:

Double entering is allowed across waves and within waves. Debate and Extemp can not double-enter with an event in the same wave.

Wave A: Congress, PF, NX, Impromptu, Info, Drama, Humor, POI

Wave B: Congress, LD, IX, CST, Oratory, Poetry, DUO

Schedule:

7:30 am - 8:00 am: Registration/Judge Check-In

8:00 am - 8:15 am: Judge Training

8:00 am: Extemp Draw and Congress starts

8:30 am - 9:45 am: Wave A Round 1

9:45 am - 11:00 am: Wave B Round 1

11:00 am - 12:15 pm: Wave A Round 2

12:15 pm - 12:45 PM Lunch

12:45 - 2:00 pm: Wave B Round 2

2:00 - 3:15 pm: Wave A Round 3

3:15 - 4:30 pm: Wave B Round 3

5:00 - 6:15 pm: Wave Finals

NIETOC Bid tournament:

We are a NIETOC bid tournament. We will offer NIETOC bids in the following events:

NX, INFO, Drama, Humor, POI, IX, Oratory, DUO

Students need to earn two bids in the same event throughout the year in order to qualify for this prestigious tournament in May. This year it will be taking place in Kansas City, MO.

Bids are awarded based on these numbers of participants:

0-19 contestants = FIRST PLACE BID

20-34 contestants = FIRST, SECOND & THIRD PLACE BIDS

35-50 contestants = FINAL ROUND BIDS

51-70 contestants = SEMIFINAL ROUND BIDS
