Citron Online is one of the premier online tournament series catering to students who want to compete online during the week. We hold multiple tournaments throughout the year. Tournaments feature different events on different days to allow students to compete in different events.

The following events will be supported in this tournament:

• Worlds Schools Debate (2 Prepared Rounds)
• US Extemp
• Radio Speaking
• Informative Speaking
• Original Oratory
• Humorous Interp

The Rules for each event are found below:

WSD (One Round - Extemp Motion):

- Motion:

This House prefers proportional representation (PR) to district representation (DR).

INFO Slide: Israel and Spain are examples of PR while the US and UK are examples of DR.

Competitors will do two rounds, switch sides. The 3 competitors of 5 person team may change from round to round.

Round 1: 6:30PM EST

Round 2: 8:00PM EST

US Extemp

- 2 Rounds

- Students will arrive at 6pm EST to the Prep Room for Extemp Debate.

- Proctor will assign topics and provide students with 30 minutes of prep time prior to the round.

- All NSDA rules on US Extemp will be followed.

Radio:

- 2 Rounds

- Prepare a 5 minute Radio Broadcast which will be performed LIVE with cameras turned off. (Big penalty if broadcast is 5 seconds more or less than 5 minutes).

- Broadcast must include each of the categories below with news items being CURRENT to past 48 hours:

* Intro with call letters

* International News

* National News

* Local / Regional News (appropriate to students physical location)

* Sports

* Commercial

* Weather

* Feature (optional)

* Traffic (optional)

* Outro

Informative Speaking

Students may use a Powerpoint in place of a board.
