The Augusta High School Debate Squad cordially invites you to attend our debate tournament on
Saturday, December 6. We are going to host NOVICE and OPEN division with a total of eighty
teams (or room availability) on a first come first serve basis (please register on TABROOM).**This
will be a FOUR round tournament. Please get your entries in early to ensure a place for your
school. Preference will be given to those whose tournaments we attend, those who invited us to
theirs, and to the Sunflower District NSDA.


Entries: We are going to host NOVICE/OPEN tournament. FOUR teams total will be allowed per
school. Please register on TABROOM. Registration opens on October 25 and will close on
December 4 at 3:30.$7.00 per team and $2.00 extra if after deadline. Novices may use the case
list; however, by this time of the semester---any case is acceptable.


Awards: Medals will be given to the top SIX teams in each division. Sweepstakes awards will be
given to first, second, and third place schools. (Delay power-matched)


Tab Room: The Tab Room will be set up in the library. Danny Park, is in charge of TAB. All tabbing
will be done through the program TABROOM. Ballots for coaches to look over will be available in this
area as well.


Round I: Once all schools have registered in the morning, we will run the Round I schedule. We
suggest all school be registered and checked in by 7:45am Saturday morning (if not earlier).
Please keep students in the COMMONS until Round I has been scheduled. Check-In table will be on
the top level of the COMMONS. You may also register as onsite through TABROOM. The sooner you
do this, the sooner Round 1 can start.


Judges: Please register an adult (if not the coach attending) who is qualified to judge. Third/Fourth
year debaters in the novice division is acceptable. We have an excellent experienced judging pool
here in Augusta. I just wanted to let you know in case we have judges not show up. We also
have a small squad this year.


Rules: All KSHSAA rules will apply; time limits, format, electronic devices, etc. etc. etc .


Pizza: Here is the number for PIZZA HUT if you want to order pizza rather than go to lunch
somewhere: 775-2284.
