Wichita East Aces
Debate Invitational 2024
Wichita East High School
2301 E. Douglas Ave., Wichita, KS, 67211
November 9th, 2024
We invite you to attend the Wichita East Ace Debate Invitational on November 9th, 2024. The tournament will have two divisions: Novice and Open.
Novice will be limited to those students who have not participated in debate prior to this season. Novice will have four rounds. The top eight teams in this division will receive medals. Novice debaters should be prepared to debate in front all types of judges
-
Teams will NOT be limited to the Novice Case-list.
Open division teams will be sharing the same judging pool as novice debaters.
Payment must be submitted with the attached invoice from tabroom.com. All entry fees are $7.00 per team.
There is currently no judging requirement from teams, but that may change as we get closer to the date of the tournament. I have a fairly supportive staff and enthusiastic community pool, so you can expect former debate coaches, former debaters, current debaters, and parents with varying knowledge of policy debate.
We will offer a beautiful multicultural hospitality lounge for coaches and judges. Students will have the opportunity to purchase a pizza meal deal which includes 2 slices of pizza, a drink, and chips for $7, while supplies last. We will also have concessions available and a boba tea stand. Please request that your students bring cash for all. There will not be enough concession variety to plan a lunch outside of the meal deal.
