James B. Conant High School is pleased to host ICDA 3 on Saturday, November 9, 2024. Here
are the details for the tournament:
Tournament Registration
The entry fee is $10 per debater. This is based on your original registration on tabroom.com.

Judging
Each school is required to provide one judge for each session for every nine entries. The number
of entries includes all students from your school entered in the Varsity and JV levels of the
tournament. The number of judges you are responsible for is based on the original entry; drops
will not be considered while scheduling judges.
● Please remind your judges to bring a laptop and charger so they can judge the round.
● Judges should be entered on Tabroom no later than Wednesday, November 6, 5:00 pm.
● All judges should have a Tabroom account that is linked to your school.
● A full-time judge is considered as someone who judges THREE full rounds over the
one-day period.
● Judging assignments will be posted at the tournament.
● Judging assignments will not be available until the day of the tournament.
● Judging assignments and responsibilities will be based upon original registration at the
entry deadline; drops will not be considered when scheduling judges.
● It is the responsibility of the head coach to ensure that ALL hired judges are trained and
prepared to judge the event.
Parking
Buses should drop off students in front of the school at Door 25, the entrance which faces Plum
Grove Road. Parking for buses and individual cars is in the same lot in front of the school.
Schedule
Registration: 7:15 - 7:45 am
Judge Meeting: 8:00 - 8:15 am (Media Center)
Session 1: 8:15 - 10:30 am
Break: 10:30 - 11:00 am
Session 2: 11:00 am - 1:15 pm
Lunch: 1:15 - 2:00 pm (Students - Cafeteria; Judges/Coaches - Media Center)
Session 3: 2:00 - 4:15 pm
Awards: ASAP (Auditorium)
Cafeteria and Media Center
When you arrive at the school and enter through Door 25, please make your way up the ramp
to the registration tables. Debaters will proceed down that same hallway to the student
cafeteria, and judges and coaches will proceed past the cafeteria to the Media Center. When
Round 1 is announced, students will move from the cafeteria to their assigned classrooms, all
located on the west end of the school, 1st and 2nd floors. There will be signage throughout the
main hallway and student volunteers on hand to direct traffic.
Food
Breakfast and lunch will be provided for the coaches and judges in the Media Center.
Debaters may bring their own lunches or purchase pizza ahead of time. Pizzas will be available
for pre-order until 5:00 p.m. on Friday, October 11. The cost will be $17 for cheese pizza and
$18 for either sausage or pepperoni pizza. Pizza orders are due by Friday, November 1, 5:00 pm.
We request that students do not eat in their chambers.
Awards
Awards will be in the school auditorium with open seating. Please anticipate
approximately 45-60 minutes after Round 3 prior to the awards ceremony.
