Lighthouse Forensics Miriam Makeba Async CANCELED
2025 — Online, US
We are delighted to invite you to the Miriam Makeba Async, a speech tournament that will be held asynchronously from Monday, February 3rd to Sunday, February 9th. This unique format provides flexibility and convenience while maintaining the spirit of eloquent speech. HERE is the link to our website.
The tournament is named in honor of Miriam Makeba, a renowned South African singer, songwriter, and civil rights activist. Known affectionately as "Mama Africa," Makeba used her powerful voice not only to entertain but also to advocate for social justice and human rights. Her legacy of courage, resilience, and advocacy for equality continues to inspire people around the world. We hope that by naming this tournament after her, we can celebrate her contributions and encourage participants to embody the same passion and commitment in their own endeavors.
To participate in the Miriam Makeba Async, please ensure that your registration is completed by Thursday, January 30th. The asynchronous format of this tournament provides a unique opportunity for competitors to submit their performances making it accessible to a wider range of participants.
Thank you for your continued dedication to the art of speech and debate. We look forward to your participation in the Miriam Makeba Async and to celebrating the achievements of all competitors. Should you have any questions or require further information, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
