Tournament Date Change: Meet will now be on Saturday, January 18, 2025.

Welcome to Carthage High School's fist Bulldog UIL Bash of the Season! We are excited to have you on board!

Debate will begin at 8:45 AM and Academics will start at 8:00 AM. The schedule can be located on the Website tab. Please scroll to the bottom to see the W-9 and the schedule. In addition, I do not know why, and I have not figured out how to address it, but if you are not logged in, you may not see computer science or computer programming, but we will have both contests taking place.

Ready Writing Entry fees can be waived if you bring a dozen canned goods or a package of 12 ramen noodles per entry. We are continuing this tradition to help out local food banks. We will also gladly take 6 jars of jelly for one entry or five jars of peanut butter instead of fees for entries for Ready Writing. This applies to Ready Writing ONLY. Mr. Rodriguez will rank our top 10 essays in each category (Large and Small). This is a rare opportunity, so please join us to take advantage of this. If you have any questions, please contact Catherine Jackson at cjackson@carthageisd.org.

Ready Writing, Journalism, and Computer Applications do not have to bring their computers and printers as we will be testing in labs with computers and printers, but you are still welcome to bring your own and set those up and practice, if your district requires you to bring your own devices.

TMSCA #7 tests will be used for Number Sense, Mathematics, Calculator Application, and Science.

*Ready Writing prompts are original (created by Ruben Rodriguez and Catherine Jackson). Ruben Rodriguez will complete the ranking of essays. The top 8 to 10 essays will be emailed to him.

*Lit Crit will be HEXCO.

*Social Studies will be HEXCO.

Accounting will be HEXCO.

Current Events and Issues will be HEXCO or Champcraft.

*Computer Science Written and Programming (hands-on) will be from A+. This will be an original. For those entering teams in programming, please enter as school name and then the number. Example: Carthage A (one team) and another team Carthage B (2nd team).

*Spelling is ASW or HEXCO-will update soon.

**We have joined the food truck theme and will have food trucks and possibly an ice cream truck.

If you have any questions about the academic side, please email cjackson@carthageisd.org.
