Welcome to the first Bobcat Invitational at Houghton Lake!

TOURNAMENT INFORMATION

We will be following MIFA guidelines for all events.

Middle Level and High School Level Competitors welcome! Top Middle Schooler in each catagory will be recognized.

No double entries are allowed at this tournament.

Judges are required to be there all day.

Critiques and scores will be done on TABROOM.

REGISTRATION & FEES

SCHOOL REGISTRATION FEE is $25.00. Individual entries are $10. Duo, Duo Commentary, and Multiple are $15.

Tournament will be on 03/07/2026. Entries will be due on 03/02 at 9pm. $15 drop and add fee after this date/time.

Make checks payable to Houghton Lake High School.

In case of poor weather conditions or illness, registration fees are still due, as commitments for awards and such have been made.

MIDDLE SCHOOL COMPETITORS

We are offering declamation for Middle School contestants.

Middle school competitors may register for 9/10 categories if applicable.

Top Middle School will be recognized in sweepstakes & top middle school competitors in each event will be recognized.

LIMITED PREP

The impromptu theme for this year is: TBA

The Duo Commentary main topic is: TBA

SCHEDULE

Registration: 7:15 AM - 8:00 AM (in main entry way)

Prep Arrival: 8:15 AM (Media Center)

General Meeting: 8:30 AM (Auditorium)

Prep begins at 8:30 AM (Media Center for Limited Prep)

Round 1: 9:00 AM

Round 2: 10:30 AM

Round 3: 12:00 PM

Semis: 1:30 PM

Finals: 3:00 PM

Awards: ASAP (Auditorium)
