Alma Momma Moore Debate Invitational

2024 — Newton, KS/US

August 30, 2024

Dear Coach:

You and your squad are cordially invited to the 2024 Alma “Momma” Moore Debate Invitational
at Newton High School, 900 W. 12th, Newton, KS 67114, on October 19, 2024. The tournament
will feature Novice, JV and Open Divisions. Novices will be limited to the NDCA Novice Caselist.
Entries are $6 per team. We will accept the first 70 entries on a first come, first served basis.
The Volleyball Team will run a concession stand that has a lunch deal; more information will be
provided closer to the tournament. Hospitality will feature, among other things, legendary
recipes from my own kitchen.

The tournament will be four rounds. In addition to medals for the top 8 teams in each division,
we will continue our tradition of speaker awards in each division, as well. All entries will be
waitlisted and will not be removed from the waitlist until debater names are added.
KSHSAA rules are in effect unless the invitation or tournament communication notes
exceptions. Third and fourth year debaters may judge novice rounds.
We hope to see you on October 19 in Newton. Please register your squad at this link.
Let me know if you have any questions or concerns!
Warmly,
Rob Egan
