For more reasons than one, with a heavy heart I am writing to share news that impacts our tournament this coming weekend. Over this past weekend, a long time fixture on the Jesuit faculty passed away relatively unexpectedly. The funeral - and a reception - will occur near and on the Jesuit campus on Saturday Sept 7th. It's not an exaggeration to say that there could be easily 1000 people who come to the funeral/reception - and we would not be able to manage the coinciding events. As a result,we have concluded that we need to cancel our tournament.While we entertained moving online or to different facilities, the consensus is that it's best for our school community to cancel the tournament. We will look at the calendar to see if there are other weekends we can reschedule [although we're not optimistic] - if we find a different weekend, we will reach out as soon as possible with the details.
