East High School is Excited to announce that we will be hosting the last October novice night of the 2024-2025 Season on October 29th 2024.

(extemp draw @ 5, R1 starts @ 5:30). Free entry and varsity team members are strongly encouraged to judge.

We’re offering two rounds of both speech & debate, as well as one round of congress. During extemp draw, all student-judges will get a brief intro to constructive judging.

We will be using the September/October topic in PF & Novice topic in LD.

Schedule for Tuesday, 10/1:

4:30 - 5:00 pm Check in at East High School cafeteria

5:00 pm R1 Extemp draw begins in

Student Judge presentation in cafeteria

5:15 pm Pairings released (R1 & R2)

5:30 pm Round 1 (Speech & Debate)

CD Session begins

6:30 pm R2 Extemp draw beings in library

7:00 pm Round 2 (Speech & Debate)

7:45 pm CD Session ends

8:00 pm Clean up & leave
