Wright Panther Invitational

The Wright Speech and Debate team would like to welcome you to the Wright Panther Invitational. We are happy to have you. However, due to a small judging pool and a variety of behind the scenes issues, we will be changing up our meet this year.

We will be having our students compete to help fill out the rounds, but they will not be considered for any individual awards. We will not be offering sweepstakes awards.

We are taking a page from Greybull/Burlington and running an individual events tournament this year. We will NOT be offering any LD, PF, CX, etc. but will run Congress (provided there are enough entries to hold the event) and apologize to those teams which were planning on those events.

Legislation will be chosen from the Wyoming State database corresponding to competitors entered on Tabroom.com by Friday, February 2, 2023. We will release the docket on Friday, February 16, 2023 (two weeks before the tournament).

Students may double in each event but Extemp entries may lose prep time if they double in HOPE pattern.

Patterns will include:

HOPE: Humor, Oratory, Poetry, Extemp, Congress

D Events: Drama, Duo, POI, Informative

Medals will be provided to all finalists. There will be no meals provided to teams this year. There will be a hospitality room for coaches, bus drivers, and judges.
