Registration

Online registration via Tabroom is enabled starting at 8 am Friday. Please make sure to confirm your registration by 2 pm.

If that doesn’t work, you can text/call to confirm your entries at 540-760-4542.

Given our small numbers, there doesn’t seem to be a need for in-person registration – we can take payments during round 1.

Campus Building Info

All of the debates will be held in Combs Hall, which is a quick right when you enter the main gate.

Classes are in session until 4 pm in Combs, so please do not enter the building before 4 pm on Friday.

If you are arriving significantly before 4, we can arrange space for your students to work in the Debate House (1201 William St) – if this is necessary, call Adrienne (540-760-4542) or find her in the basement of the Debate House.

Parking

It is Fall Break, so unless a spot is marked for some other event or other reason, you should find ample parking. You might be able to park in one of the handful of spots by Combs, or the small lot to the left of the main gate, or out on College Ave. 

Tournament Admin Details

Tabbing will be done by Adrienne, Danielle (Navy), Christy (BC), and Tom (Navy).

All the debates will be preset, with the intention of releasing all 6 pairings online at 4 pm. If you have changes or drops, please notify Adrienne as soon as possible on Friday.

Given the size of the tournament and the numerous constraints on judges, preferences are not really viable. Additionally, it will be likely a team could hit the same team (on the other side) in prelims.

Internet Access

You should connect to the UMW-Guest network – it takes only a few moments to set up with an email account, and you can then use the same login for the remainder of your stay.
