The Martin UIL Academics Team cordially invites your school’s teams to our very first Lamp of
Knowledge UIL competition. Our meet will include Accounting, Computer Applications,
Computer Science, Current Issues and Events, Journalism, Literary Criticism, Ready Writing,
Science, Social Studies, Math, Calculator Applications, and Number Sense. We will be using
HEXCO for all our events.

Entry Deadline
Saturday, December 4th, 2023

Fees
Entry fees will be $15 per test entry in Academics.

LD: $20 per entry

CX: $40 per entry

Prose/Poetry: $20 per entry

Informative/Persuasive Extemp: $20 per entry

Judge Fees:

CX: $150 for every two entries or portion thereof

LD: $150 for every four entries or portion thereof

Prose/Poetry: $150 for every eight entries or portion thereof

Informative/Persuasive Extemp: $150 for every eight entries or portion thereof

Awards
Awards will be given to the top six individuals and the first place team in each event.
Plaques will also be given to the top three scoring schools.

Hospitality and Concessions
Hospitality for coaches and judges will be provided and the room will be announced at
registration with the list of contest rooms. We will also have concessions for students at
this meet.
