All rounds will be held through Zoom and tabulation will be done through Tabbycat. All links will be emailed shortly after the registration period ends.

FORMAT
We will be using the CNDF format (style guide available here)
This tournament will consist of 5 preliminary rounds followed by a break to junior finals and open semifinals (tentative)

• All rounds will be impromptu

• 6 minute constructive speeches; 3 minute replies.

• 30-minute prep time for impromptu rounds, with time counting down from the release of the motions.

ELIGIBILITY
Students enrolled in Grades 7-12 in the 2023-24 school year. Students in Grades 7-9 are eligible for the Junior Division.

No previous CNDF experience is required, there will be a briefing at the beginning of the tournament explaining the basics of CNDF debate for both debaters and judges.

Registration fee: $25 CAD per debater / $50 CAD per team
