The Chapin Speech and Debate program would like to welcome you to the 2023 Chapin Husky Tournament. The tournament will beIN-PERSONat Chapin High School on October 20^th and 21st 2024. We will be offering the complete set of events in IE’s and LD, CX, PF, and Congressional debate. Chapin students will be permitted to compete.

The following will be the resolutions in each debate competition:

·Policy Debate (both divisions) will be debating the 2023-2024 Resolution-ResolvedThe United States federal government should substantially increase fiscal redistribution in the United States by adopting a federal jobs guarantee, expanding Social Security, and/or providing a basic income

·LD Debate (both divisions) will be debating the September/October NSDA Resolution-Resolved: Resolved: The United States ought to guarantee the right to housing.

·Public Forum Debate (both divisions) will be debating the September/October NSDA Resolution-Resolved: The United States federal government should substantially increase its military presence in the Arctic.

·Congressional Debate will be debating the following pieces of legislation #6-15 (Prelims) and 16-25 (Finals) of the TFA Fall 2023 Docket.
