You are cordially invited to the 2023 Dowling Catholic Paradigm!

This year’s Paradigm will feel different from years past. As most of you know, this summer Dowling Catholic and the speech and debate community unexpectedly lost the founder and long-time host of the Paradigm, Tim Sheaff. He was also my father. No one can replace a man like Tim Sheaff and no one should try, but I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to continue this very important part of my father’s legacy. While the Paradigm will never be the same, the goals of the tournament have not changed: to provide to every student who wants it an unparalleled competition experience while setting the standard for tournament hospitality. As he was so fond of saying, my father LOVED hosting this event and I hope to let you all feel that love in West Des Moines in December!
