Dear debate coach:

You are cordially invited to attend the fifth annual Niles Township Invitational Debate Tournament. The competition will be held at Niles North High School on Friday, September 12 through Sunday, September 14, 2014. We are pleased that the tournament has once again been designated a finals Tournament of Champions bid in policy debate. We will host one division of Open policy debate in addition to our free Novice Workshop on Saturday only. Tara Tate of Glenbrook South and Wayne Tang of Maine East will coordinate the workshop.

Schools may enter the tournament on a first come, first serve basis. The tournament will close registration when it reaches its capacity of ninety-six teams. Elimination rounds will begin on Saturday evening. We will clear to double-octafinals or octafinals depending on the size of the division. A decision will be made by the tab room after final registration. Awards will be given to the top twenty speakers. Chris Palmer will direct the tabulation room with Eric Oddo of Niles West. Given the quality of competition in Illinois, we anticipate an excellent debate experience for your students.
