The 2023 Conway Classy Classic registration is open.

We are excited to invite you to our campus on September 29-30, 2023!

The Conway High School Forensics & Debate Team is excited to invite you to compete in-person at the Conway Classy Classic! We will be offering high school and junior high events. Within high school debate we will offer both novice and varsity divisions.

We are excited to offer a schedule that allows for the potential for our tournament to be a UK Tournament of Champions Qualifier in Speech Events! Please see the Tab listed on our landing page explaining the level qualifiers for Speech Events that could reach UKTOC qualifier status!

The Conway Classy Classic will also be hosting ESL Declamation and ESL Poetry interpretation specifically for ESL Spanish-speaking students. ESL competitors must be in their school’s ESL program. We encourage you to consider entering your eligible students in Declamation en Español and Poetry en Español! We are excited to offer these events free of charge and hope to provide as many equitable opportunities for competition for our students as possible.

We have a wonderful weekend planned and we are looking forward to seeing you on campus! All contestants will receive a Conway Classy Classic drawstring bag.

We will offer various food options by hosting food trucks, along with a concession stand.

• NSDA events will have three preliminary rounds and advance to appropriate elimination rounds.

• ACTAA events will have two preliminary rounds and advance to appropriate elimination rounds.

• Junior High events will have one preliminary round and advance to appropriate elimination rounds.

• All debate events (both HS and JH) will have three preliminary rounds and advance to appropriate elimination rounds.

Please mind double-entry limits. Students may not double-enter debate events. No rounds will be held due to multiple entries.

• Resolved: The United States ought to guarantee the right to housing.

• Novice Lincoln-Douglas Debate – 2023 Novice Topic

• Resolved: In the United States, national service ought to be mandatory.

• Varsity AND Novice Public Forum Debate – 2023 September/October Topic

• Resolved: The United States federal government should substantially increase its military presence in the Arctic.

• Policy Debate teams will debate the 2023-24 National High School topic on fiscal redistribution.

• Congressional Debate legislation is posted on Tabroom.
