Greetings from the Weber State Debate Team,
We are pleased to invite you to participate in the Val Browning Round Robin on October 7th and 8th 2023 hosted by Weber State University. The tournament will be held virtually on zoom.
Virtual Format
We welcome all applicants to join us virtually for the tournament. The logic behind this is to ensure the economic viability of teams who will attend both the RR and the Mukai the following weekend.
Application
Applications are due Wednesday September 20th by 11:59pm. We will announce the participating teams the following Monday the 25th.

Entry Fees
Entry fees are $50 a team. Entry fees are to cover selection committee and tabulation labor costs.

We are pleased to announce the selection committee for this year’s Round Robin:

Travis Cram Director of Debate at Western Washington University
Topic, Format, Tabulation
We will debate the 2023-24 NDT-CEDA debate topic.The format will be a 2-pod system, 7 debates and a final round. Pairings will come out a week before the tournament start date. A maximum of 2 teams may be entered from a single school and there will be 7 teams in each pod.
Awards
Awards will be given to the top 5 speakers, 1st and 2nd place teams and a round robin award for all teams competing.
