Fall Coaches Conference

Dear Speech and Debate Coaches:

You are cordially invited to the 2023 Arizona Speech and Debate Coaches Association Fall Conference on August 26th, 2023. We will register at 8:30 AM and start our conference business at 9:00.

This meeting will allow us to review the yearly calendar, meet new colleagues, hold some informative training sessions, and work on some guidelines for the 2023-24 season. This day is recommended for those who are serving as the contracted coach or sponsor for their team. We will provide state recertification credit for teachers who attend.

Brophy College Preparatory is located at: 4701 N Central Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85012

Registration

To register, go to http://asdcafall.tabroom.com/ and sign up as a judge for the “Conference” event. You do not need to enter any students. So we can get an accurate count, all coaches from your team attending the conference should be listed as “judges.”

Cost

The yearly ASDCA dues are $120, but these will be charged at Winter Trophy. If you attend the conference, please also register for the Winter Trophy tournament. Lunch will be provided by the ASDCA.

The updated calendar is available atwww.azforensics.org. There have been a few changes since the spring, so check it out and please let Jim Welty (jwelty@brophyprep.org) know if any changes need to be made.

Coach Workshops

We hope to offer some training workshops on various topics.If you have a topic you’d like to present, please let me know so we can work out a schedule.
