Mills Comet Fall Invitational

We are excited to invite you to our 6th annual Invitational Tournament on Friday November 3rd and Saturday, November 4th! This is a great opportunity for your experienced students to get their competitive fix, and for eager novices to get bit by the competitive speech bug for the first time.
We encourage new schools that have never competed with us to do so! All first-time schools will receive a $100 discount off their entry fees for this tournament.
Plushies (!) and medals will be given to all finalist competitors in both Junior High and High School. We will also award group events, Junior High, Small School (1A-5A) and Large School (6A-7A) sweepstakes trophies.
Individually, we will be awarding the pentathlon award for the first time to high school students. Students must enter five events to qualify for this award.
We will also be handing out some honorary awards this year!
The Marsha Pratt Memorial Award will be given in memory of former Mills Debate Coach Marsha Pratt, who passed away earlier this year. It will be awarded to one outstanding coach who exhibits the best qualities of leadership and dedication to their students.
The Honorary Comet Award will be granted to two competitors, nominated by their coaches, who represent their school with class and professionalism. These recipients should represent their team with excellence.
We will have a full concession stand, and a swag table where students can purchase stickers and T-shirts.
