UIL District 7-5A Speech and Debate

Grapevine High School is pleased to host the 2023 UIL District Tournament for Speech and Debate on Tuesday, March 28, at Grapevine High School. The address is 3223 Mustang Dr, Grapevine, TX 76051.

The tournament will take place in our library.

We will provide breakfast and lunch to coaches and judges. There will not be a concessions stand. Coaches are encouraged to bring food and/or set up a food order for their students.

Round 3 of Debate will be power-matched and we will break brackets.

9:00 AM - Prose and Poetry Prelims

10:00 AM - LD Round 2 (Flighted)

11:00 AM - Prose and Poetry Finals

12:00 PM - Extemp Draw

12:30 PM - Persuasive and Informative Extemp Prelims

1:30 PM - LD Round 3 (Flighted)

2:15 PM - Extemp Draw

2:45 PM - Informative and Persuasive Extemp Finals

3:15 PM - LD Semifinals

4:15 PM - LD Finals/Runoff
