Registration is now open for the 3rd MSQI Debate tournament of the year on Saturday, May 6 at IS 220 in Brooklyn. The tournament runs from approximately 8:00 a.m. - 4:15 p.m. (not including travel time). Breakfast and lunch will be available.

This tournament is only open to middle schools currently in the MSQI Debate League.

Registration will close on Thursday, April 20 at 5:00pm. We encourage coaches to begin registering and creating Tabroom accounts as early as possible.

The resolution for the debate is

• Commercial genetic testing on humans should be banned

Students must prepare to argue both the pro and con side to this resolution. Copies of the Starter Pack of research to support coaches and students are available online in English and Spanish.

Important reminders:

• Debaters do not need to be vaccinated to participate in the tournament.
  
  

• Family members who are not judges or other observers are not permitted at this tournament due to space limitations.
