Prepared Motion: This House would renounce the zero-waste movement.

This motion comes from the NSDA March Sample Topics. Context provided by NSDA:

According to the United States Environmental Protection Agency, "the zero waste approach seeks to maximize recycling, minimize waste, reduce consumption and ensures that products are made to be reused, repaired or recycled back into nature or the marketplace." In terms of daily life, the movement manifests as a lifestyle in which consumers seek to completely eliminate their trash output. Simply put, "zero waste" prioritizes waste prevention rather than waste management. But an idea that sounds too good to be true sometimes is, and that may be the case for zero-waste, too.
