Online Congressional Debate & Elementary Speech Tournament

Young Genius Association is excited to host a Congressional Debate tournament for Elementary and Middle School students. We are one of few organizations that coordinate tournaments for younger competitors, and we invite all Congressional Debaters in the 3rd through 8th grades to attend!

Elementary and Middle School students will compete in different divisions.

We will also be offering a speech competition for students in 2nd/3rd grade: Campaign Speech.

Tournament Schedule (all times listed in Pacific Daylight Time)

8:00 - 9:00AM • Mandatory Judge Check-In/Training

9:00 - 9:15AM • Tournament Welcome

9:30 - 10:45AM • Round 1 for all levels of Congress and Speech

10:45 - 11:00AM • Break

11:00AM - 12:15PM • Round 2 for all levels of Congress and Speech

12:15 - 12:45PM • Break

12:45 - 2:00PM • Round 3 for all levels of Congress and Speech

2:00- 2:15PM • Break

2:15 - 3:30PM • Round 4 for Middle/High School Congress only

4PM • Awards Ceremony

Please note: We STRONGLY encourage students to get up from their computers to stretch their legs and rest their eyes in between rounds!
