2023 LURAY LAST CHANCE INVITATIONAL INFO PACKET DOC

The goal is the event is to provide a positive, yet competitive environment for our students prior to the "higher stakes" tournaments in March and April.

The tournament is OPEN to public and private schools who field a Forensics Team and/or a Debate Team

*Forensics/Speech events: VHSL format and competitive categories

Extemp will utilize the VHSL region TOPIC ranges, OR previous TOPICS

The event will utilize the VHSL format for the scoring of the competitive events in the tournament.

Debate events: L. D., P. F. and Student Congress.

*Student Congress topics will be shared by January 13, 2023.

WHERE ARE YOU GUYS??

Luray High School is located in the northern Shenandoah Valley in Luray, VA.

Our town is the "home" of the Luray Caverns and one of the main entrances to the Shenandoah National Park and Skyline Drive.

From the NORTH: Frederick County 1 hour, Fauquier County 1 hour, Loudon, Prince William, etc. about 1.5 hours (or less) pending traffic and travel options

From the SOUTH EAST: Madison, Orange, Greene, Louisa, Albemarle, Charlottesville, about 1+ hour(s)

From the SOUTH, SOUTHWEST: Lynchburg and surrounding areas 2 hours, Roanoke Valley 2 hours
