Dear Golden Desert Coaches and Participants:

On behalf of the Foothill Speech & Debate Team, it is our pleasure to invite you to the Foothill Invitational at Foothill High School on Friday, December 2^nd and Saturday, December 3^rd, 2022. The address for our campus is 800 College Dr., Henderson, NV 89002.

The tournament will consist of competition in a variety of events. Our hope is to give you an outstanding experience and atmosphere on our beautiful campus. Out of respect to the Foothill community, please do not eat or drink in the classrooms. In order to ensure we stay as close to the schedule as possible, please remember to bring judges!

In speech events, we will offer Humorous Interpretation, Dramatic Interpretation, Duo Interpretation, Program Oral Interpretation, US and International Extemporaneous Speaking, Informative Speaking, and Original Oratory. Each event will have two preliminary rounds, and will break to a Final round.

In debate events, we will offer Congressional Debate, Lincoln-Douglas Debate (both Varsity and Novice divisions), and Public Forum Debate (both Varsity and Novice divisions). In LD and PF, we will be offering three preliminary rounds and breaking to either quarter or semifinal. In Congressional Debate, we will hold three sessions.

All Entries will be $8.00 per student ($16 for CX, PF or Duo) will be assessed. An awards assembly will end the tournament, however no school sweepstakes awards will be given but individual awards per event will be awarded. Coaches will be expected to be on campus with their teams, work the tournament, judge rounds and Parli Congress rounds.
