1 judge per every 2 Lincoln-Douglas entries

1 judge per every 2 Public Forum entries

1 judge per every 2 Policy teams

There are NO HIRED JUDGES available.

Rules and Conventions for Events:

Speech and Interpretation events will be judged using the rules and standards which govern the NCFL.

Congress will use NSDA rules.

Public Forum will follow the 4-4-3-4-4-3-3-3-3-2-2 format with 3 minutes of prep time. Novice & Varsity PF divisions will use the January topic from the NSDA.

Lincoln Douglas has 4 minutes of prep time (per debater). Novice & Varsity LD will use the January/February topic from the NSDA.

Policy has 5 minutes of prep time (per team).

Time violations in Speech Events: Each speech event has a 30 second “grace period.” If the judge in the round finds that the student has gone beyond the grace period, the student may not be ranked 1st, but need not be ranked last based on time. The ranking is up to the individual judge’s discretion. No minimum time is mandated.

Concessions/Meals

Pizzas will be available via pre-order only through the tabroom concessions tab. Be sure to submit your orders by January 9th at 5pm.

For those wishing to provide other purchased food, options such as Wegmans, Chipotle, Neato Burrito, Panera Bread and Chick-fil-A are nearby. Unfortunately, many don't deliver so schools might need an extra person for pick-up in some circumstances.

Water Bottles (Bring one!)

To minimize plastic waste, we will not be selling or providing single-use water bottles. Please bring a refillable water bottle so that you can use the refilling stations located within our building.

Coaches -- please bring a mug for hot beverages.
