The NYCUDL and District 16 invites you, your students, and judges to attend District 16's Tournament #1. Elementary and Middle School debate will be a LIVE event at MS 35 in Brooklyn.

The benefits of school uniforms outweigh the harms.

Registration: 8:30 AM
Morning meeting: 9:15 AM-9:30 AM
Round 1: 9:30 AM -10:15 AM
Break: 10:15 AM -10:30 AM
Round 2: 10:30 AM-11:15 AM
Awards: 11:30 AM-11:45 AM

MS Schedule

Registration and Lunch: 11:00 AM-11:30 AM
Welcome Meeting: 11:30 AM-11:45 AM
Round 1: 11:45 AM-12:45 PM
Round 2: 1:00 PM-2:00 PM
Awards: 2:15 PM-2:30 PM

Judging:

Our judging obligation is one judge for every two teams.

The NYCUDL has a small pool of judges that we will hire out to schools. This pool is not large and is first come-first serve. If you are requesting judging from the NYCUDL, you must email olivia@debate.nyc with your request. If you enter your request on tabroom, you must still email Liv or your request will not be considered complete.

Upon school entry, all teams will be placed on a waitlist. In order to be removed from the waitlist, the following criteria must be met.

•Your judging obligation just be met.
•You must have an adult that will be present for the day of the tournament.
