Theatre Directors,

We are excited to be hosting South Grand Prairie High School’s Middle School Theatre Festival on December 10, 2022. The tournament will take place at South Grand Prairie High School (301 W. Warrior Trail, Grand Prairie, Texas, 75052). All events are open to 5th graders through 8th graders. If you are a school wishing to bring students younger than 5th grade, please just let us know. Participants may not cross-enter in more than two events per section and that is at their own risk.

Awards will be given to 1st, 2nd and 3rd places for each event.

Please note - for group events, you are able to create your own code. For each entry (each team you are entering in a group event), please come up with a name that is easily identifiable to the group members. For example: SGP Red could be the name of a Lip Sync Group or SGP Skittles. Get the idea?

Most events are following the Texas Junior Thespians rules and UIL rules. Please note that Humorous/Dramatic Interpretation are not being offered, along with a few other events. Prose and Poetry will be judged together in the same category.
