Mitchell High School is excited to host the 30th Annual McGovern Speech and Debate Tournament!

We are offering all South Dakota events. We have 3 rounds of IE's on Friday with a final round in the evening. We are also offering Congress on Friday. Congress will be a mix of Varsity and Novice Congress competitors.

There will be 5 rounds of debate on Saturday, starting at 9:15 AM. We are offering novice, JV, and Varsity divisions of LD and PF. We are also offering Congress on Saturday.

Novice LD topic Resolved: Civil Disobedience in a democracy is Morally Justified

Varsity LD will use the Nov/Dec topic

Novice and Varsity PF will use the Nov/Dec topic

Our campus includes two buildings, so please tell students to dress warmly in the event they will need to go between buildings.

The Dakota Wesleyan University Theatre Department will be providing concessions for students, and Mama Miller will be providing food for coaches and judges.
