DIVISIONS

We’ll be offering Novice and Varsity policy debate, and JV and Varsity Lincoln-Douglas/Public Forum debate. Please remember that Novice means first year of debate and JV refers to the first two years of debate. If you have students in the incorrect division based on experience, such student/s will be disqualified. Divisions may be collapsed based on number of entries.

TOPICS

POLICY – Resolved: The United States federal government should substantially increase its security cooperation with the North Atlantic Treaty Organization in one or more of the following areas: artificial intelligence, biotechnology, cybersecurity.

LD – Resolved: The People's Republic of China ought to prioritize environmental protection over economic growth.

PF – Resolved: The United States' Strategy of Great Power Competition produces more benefits than harms.

TENTATIVE SCHEDULE

Registration will start at 7:30AM. Please check in online. Alternatively, If a text at (414)702-8678 is not received by tab from you by 8:15, your teams will be dropped from the system.

LIVE DOCS

We will be piloting live docs this year for any schedule updates, judging updates or reminders, or other tournament announcements. These live docs will be activated and located at the following links when the tournament begins:

JUDGES:

Schools must bring one judge for every two NCX/VCX/PF/LD teams registered or fraction thereof. You will be charged $125 for each missing judge. The PF and LD pools are NOT combined. Please link your judges to Tabroom.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE:

Registration will be through tabroom.com. The registration deadline is Thursday, December 8^th at 8pm. If you have adds after the deadline, e-mail umstotd@elmbrookschools.org.

FEE SCHEDULE:

NSS/VSS/PF - $30 LD - $15

Fees will be frozen on Thursday, December 8^th at 8pm. At this point, you are still responsible for any drops and judging obligations.
