2023 — Brock, TX, TX/US

Welcome to the Brock Invitational Meet set for January 21, 2023. We are located about 40 miles west of Fort Worth and offer a great tournament with a great hospitality room. LD & CX Debate will be held at the JH campus while all other events will be on the HS campus.

Schedule and Other Information (click link for Google Doc)

We will be using UIL set A material. We will have all events, except Congress.

When registering for debate & speech, open the tab "Registration" at the top and then "entries".

When registering nonspeaking events and lunch counts, open the tab "Registration" at the top and then "Nonspeech Entries"

We will offer 9/10 and 11/12 divisions for Math, Number Sense, Calculator, and Science events.

Academic Graders:

So that things run smoothly it is important that schools bring "qualified" graders for each event that they are entering students. It is very important for your school to provide graders for the following events or pay a $75 grader fee: Ready Writing, Journalism, and Computer Applications. If you can not bring a grader for the Ready Writing, Journalism, or Computer Applications, then please request that we hire one for you at the cost of $75. Click on the tab "concessions" and request the hired graders from there for these events.

Debate (LD & CX):

Debate judges and contestants will only be allowed to enter either LD or CX debate, they will not be able to enter any other event. There will be a $150 charge for missing debate judges. Please make sure this is done ahead of time.

Judging/Grading Contracts:

We pay $150 per judge. If you are qualified and interested in judging debate, speech, journalism, or ready writing please contact Teresa Wilcox at twilcox@brockisd.net for more information. Please include your qualifications along with what events you are comfortable with judging.

A digital copy of UIL Set A material will be delivered to each coordinator as the entry fees are paid.

We hope you decide to join our meet.
