Invitation to 2022 Coyote Congress

Schedule: 

Saturday, October 29, 2022 (all times MDT)

8:30AM: NSDA Campus check-in and caucusing 

9:00AM-11:00AM: Prelim Round One

12:00PM-2:00PM: Prelim Round Two

2:30PM-4:30PM: Finals (Novice Only)

5:00 PM- Awards 

Judges: 

All registered schools should attempt to recruit unaffiliated judges and/or parliamentarians. All judges must be linked in Tabroom and added to the judging pool in Tabroom.  Schools are required to supply one judge for every 12 entries

Deadline: Wednesday, October 26th, at 7:00 pm.

There will be novice and varsity/open divisions. No entry limit. Novice is defined as a student never having competed in speech, debate, or congressional debate before the current year.

Note: if either of these divisions has fewer than 15 participants, or if either of these divisions has representation from fewer than three schools, the divisions will collapse into a single division. 

Note#2: Cottonwood novice students may compete, but they are not eligible for awards.

Fees: 

$10.00 entry fee per student.

If a student drops from the tournament, they will be charged $10.00.

Legislation:

Deadline to submit: Friday, October 22nd at 5:00 pm.

Docket will be emailed to schools by Monday, October 24th  .

Maximum submission: Two pieces of legislation per school. Frivolous or poorly formatted legislation will be refused.
