Bettendorf Bulldog Invitational

 Speech and Debate Tournament

Friday, Nov. 11^th – Saturday, Nov. 12^th

 Dear Colleagues:

Bettendorf is proud to announce the Bulldog Invitational to be held on Friday, November 11^th – Saturday, November 12^th, 2022.  Bettendorf High School has been supporting the Speech and Debate Team since 1968 and this tournament is the program’s main fundraiser each year.  We hope that your continued support will ensure the team continues for years to come. 

The Bulldog Invitation plans on offering a full range of Speech and Debate events.  Our current plans include:

Speech events will run as a 1-day tournament on Saturday for all events.  We plan on offering all NSDA sanctioned events.  If there is a change (due to lack of entries in a particular division), we will let coaches know our plan to resolve the issues as soon as possible.  This may include combining divisions or cancelling events – but your input will be requested before any final decisions are made. 

Debate events will run on both Friday and Saturday.  We are planning on Novice and Varsity divisions of Lincoln-Douglas Debate, Policy Debate, and Public Forum Debate.  However, should entry counts not make that possible, we will be in communication with coaches regarding combining divisions or cancelling events – your input is always appreciated as we make tough decisions.  LD and PF will use the Nov/Dec topic areas in all divisions.  Finally, Student Congress will be offered as a Friday night only event.
