To our Speech and Debate Community,

The Oak Grove High School Speech & Debate Team is thrilled you have chosen to join us October 14-15, 2022 for the 19th Annual Warrior Invitational.  We hope you will enjoy yourselves as we take a weekend to enjoy each other's company and begin another great competitive season.

The Warrior Invitational will offer the following Debate Events:  Policy Debate, Varsity and Novice Lincoln-Douglas Debate, Varsity and Novice Public Forum Debate, and Congressional Debate.

Flight A Events include Varsity Prose, Novice Prose, Dramatic Interpretation, Original Oratory, Programmed Oral Interpretation, Duet Acting, and Impromptu Speaking.

Flight B Events include Varsity Poetry, Novice Poetry, Humorous Interpretation, Informative Speaking, Declamation (9th & 10th grade only), Duo Interpretation, Varsity Extemp, and Novice Extemp.

We are also pleased to announce that the Warrior Invitational is a qualifying tournament for the 2023 National Individual Events Tournament of Champions (NIETOC)  that will take place May 12-14, 2023 in Chanhassen, Minnesota.

Also, please notice that novice events exist in Lincoln-Douglas Debate, Public Forum Debate, Extemp Speaking, Prose and Poetry.  Located in the tournament program you will find the rules and regulations for the tournament including novice regulations.  Please take the time to read through these so we may all do our best to make this the smoothest running tournament possible.  We hope you enjoy your time here in Warrior Territory and will join us each and every year for an exciting weekend of speech competition.
