Fall Conference 

Thunderbird High School, August 27th, 2022

Dear Speech and Debate Coaches:

 You are cordially invited to the 2022 Arizona Speech and Debate Coaches Association Fall Conference on August 27th, 2022.  We will register at 8:30 AM and start our conference business at 9:00.

This meeting will allow us to review the yearly calendar, meet new colleagues, hold some informative training sessions, and work on some guidelines for the 2022-23 season.  This day is recommended for those who are serving as the contracted coach or sponsor for their team.  We will provide state recertification credit for teachers who attend.   

 Location and Directions

Once again, we are fortunate that Thunderbird High School will serve as our host.  They are located at 1750 E Thunderbird Rd. Phoenix, AZ 85023.

 Registration

 To register, go to http://asdca.tabroom.com/ and sign up as a judge for the “Conference” event.  You do not need to enter any students.  So we can get an accurate count, all coaches from your team attending the conference should be listed as “judges.”

 Cost

The yearly ASDCA dues are $120, but these will be charged at Winter Trophy.  Pinky promise that if you attend the conference, you will also register for the Winter Trophy tournament.  Lunch will be provided by the ASDCA.

The updated calendar is available at www.azforensics.org.  There have been a few changes since the spring, so check it out.

 Coach Workshops

We hope to offer some training workshops on various topics.  If you have a topic you’d like to present, please let me know so we can work out a schedule. 

 I am looking forward to seeing all of you at the end of August.
