Welcome to the Pampa High School Last Chance IQT Tournament! We look forward to hosting you this year. Please read through this (but no really), so you aren't caught off guard by any issues!

You will be judging. Period. That's it. We don't have a readily available local base of judges to draw from and you entered students in this contest. That obligates you. I intend no malice in this paragraph but we CANNOT host your students if you do not actively contribute. I welcome your additional judges if you have some to bring with you. Please put yourself and any additional judges in the judge pool in tabroom. Coaches who cannot be found or are unwilling to judge will 1. Not be invited to return to future contests and 2. Risk disqualifications. We are fortunate to not be charged judge fees, this is the tradeoff. If you have concerns contact me@ presidenttxfa@gmail.com

Students may enter three events in Pattern A and three events in Pattern B, Students entering LD, Policy, or Congress may not cross-enter. As always your students cross-enter at their own risk. Students may not enter both extemp divisions.

WE WILL NOT BREAK BRACKETS IN DEBATE.

INFORMATIVE IS NOT UIL EXTEMP IT IS THE TFA CONTEST

We will be using the TFA Spring 2023 Congress docket which can be found at:

We will use Items 21-25 in prelims and 26-30 in finals. Should numbers drop to not require a final we will use items 21-25

LINCOLN DOUGLAS DEBATE WILL USE THE SPRING 2023 UIL TOPIC. Resolved:Term limits for members of the United States Congress are justified.

Policy(CX) will use: Resolved: The United States federal government should substantially increase its security cooperation with the North Atlantic Treaty Organization in one or more of the following areas: artificial intelligence, biotechnology, cybersecurity.

PHS and PJHS will likely compete under the "Home Games" pilot allowing them to participate in elimination rounds should they qualify. All TFA requirements will be observed.

10 points- 2nd place

8 points- 3rd place

6 points- 4th place

4 points- 5th place- 8th place

Debate

12 points- 1st place

10 points- 2nd place

8 points- Non-advancing semi-finalists

4 points- Non-advancing quarter-finalists

Entry Fees are:
