Raymond Zhang Memorial Tournament

Dear Coaches, Judges, and Debaters,
Welcome! On behalf of Newton South High School, we are pleased to invite you to our fifth annual Spring Scrimmage. The Raymond Zhang Memorial Tournament™ is the pride and joy of the Massachusetts Speech and Debate League (MSDL), known as a highly prestigious post-season tournament reserved for only the most qualified debaters. This year we have the pleasure of debating the NSDA April topic, Resolved: Japan should revise Article 9 of its Constitution to develop offensive military capabilities.
While we cannot provide bids to the Tournament of Champions, you will find that your debating experience at the Raymond Zhang Memorial Tournament™ will be equally, if not more, rigorous than any other tournament hosted on the national circuit.
This tournament will be held in person at Newton South High School. We are beyond excited to host you and wish you the best of luck.
