Debbie Johnson Novice Championship 

and Big Question Extravaganza

Over the last few years, I have tried and tried to establish something to give homage to Round Rock HS and Round Rock school system legacy, Debbie Johnson.  Debbie coach the debate team at Round Rock High School for 33 years.  In a time when teachers are leaving the profession so quickly, Debbie's steadfast commitment to our school system and to the debate community is only one side of her greatness.

It is our honor to host this novice and BQ event in her name.  In her name, our goal is for the contest to be inclusion and accessible.  We will charge a nominal fee for entries, but expect everyone to provide qualified judges.  Please no judges with less than 250 points in that event.  We will check and if needed your entries will be removed.

Our goal is to offer options in every form of debate, we hope numbers will justify it.  

THIS TOURNAMENT IS NOT LIMITED TO TEXAS FOLKS!  ALL ARE WELCOME!!!!
