In 2020 in-person debate tournaments across the country were put on hold due to the pandemic. In response to this, the urban debate leagues in California came together to host an online debate camp, the West Coast Champs Debate Institute (WCCDI), for two summers in a row. While WCCDI will not be returning this year, we felt it was important to maintain these kinds of cooperative events between our leagues, and thus we've created the California Urban Debate Round Robin! 

Thank you for taking the time to join us this weekend to pilot this new tournament. While this year it will be a small and friendly competition, we believe it is a big first step in creating what will become an annual tradition.
