Dear Coaches and Forensics Squads,

The Silver Lake High School Forensics team invites you to attend the Silver Lake Invitational Forensics Tournament on February 26th.

The following events will be offered on Saturday: Dramatic Interpretation/SSA, Humorous Interpretation/HSA, Prose, Poetry, Informative (7), Original Oratory, Domestic Extemp, International Extemp, Duet Acting, Duo Interp, IDA (ONLY if there are 4A or below schools entered), POI, Informative (10), and Impromptu.

We will award medals for First through Sixth places in all events and Sweepstakes plaques for First, Second, and Third Place.

LD and PFD ranks will be assigned according to record; finals will not be held. Students who enter LD and PFD will not count towards Sweeps.

Fees are $5.00 per person per event and $10.00 per Duet/Duo Team/IDA team unless you charge more for your tournament, in which case I expect reciprocal payment.

You may enter as many as you like in each event up to 4. Your top 15 entries will count towards Sweeps. Sweeps will only count preliminary rounds.

Entries will be accepted on a first-come, first serve basis. If you would like extras, I will grant those to people who have given them to me and my NSDA and MEL league members first.

Participants may NOT double enter in two prep events (Extemp, IDA), and if doubling in Duo and Duet, you must perform separate pieces. Students can triple enter in Impromptu.

Extemp topics will come from recent magazine and newspaper articles, starting from December 1st forward.

Registration will be via Tabroom.com. New entries are due by 11:00 PM, Wednesday, February 23rd. Fees owed will be fixed at that time.
