ADA Nationals

2022 — Online, GA/US

Information for On-Campus Participants

COVID Compliance

Please remind all students to comply with Emory's and the ADA’s COVID protocols. We are only able to host in-person because we are following these procedures. This includes wearing a mask at all times indoors unless you are eating or drinking, keeping meals to either the designated ESC room or eating outside, and completing your COVID vaccination and testing attestation (available here: https://forms.gle/Pg1G1dMvTaxr9oCPA). Wearing a mask indoors includes the expectation that you will wear a mask while debating. Several rooms that we are using have glass walls or windows so non-compliance may be noticeable by Emory administrators. Help keep in-person tournaments possible by following the rules! Your participation may be shifted to online status from your hotel at any time if you are not in compliance.

Water Bottles

Please bring reusable water bottles and remind debaters to do so. There are refilling stations in every building we are using. We will provide drinks at meals, but we will not be providing plastic water bottles as part of Emory’s efforts to reduce single use plastic.

Internet on Campus

You have 2 options for internet on campus: eduroam or Emory’s guest network. The network is called Emory Guest. Instructions for accessing Emory’s guest network can be found here: https://emory.service-now.com/kb_view.do?sysparm_article=KB06031

Parking

Saturday & Sunday – Parking in most lots is free on the weekend and after regular business hours on weekdays. The Peavine (closest to the ESC), Oxford (closest to the quad), or Fishburne (closest to the Business School) decks are likely the most convenient parking locations.

On Monday, you should park in the Peavine visitors lot (the lot next to the Peavine deck); be aware that they will likely charge up to $12 for parking on Monday.
