Austin CC Riverbat Speech Debate Prep Tournament

Dear High School Colleagues:
The Austin Community College Communication Studies Department extends an invitation to your UIL Speech & Debate Team to compete in the ACC Riverbat II UIL Speech & Debate VIRTUAL Prep Meet to be held, Saturday, March 5, 2022.
We aim to provide a quality educational experience to prepare your speech and debate team for your UIL District meet by offering the following events that follow UIL rules:
Poetry Interpretation (2 different contests created to perform Category A Live & Category B-ASYNCH recorded)
Prose Interpretation (2 different contests created to perform Category A Live & Category B-ASYNCH recorded)
Informative Extemporaneous Speaking
Persuasive Extemporaneous Speaking
Lincoln-Douglas Debate-Spring '22 UIL Topic, Resolved: In matters of foreign policy, the United States ought to value universal human rights over economic interests.
We have added CX Debate to our tournament schedule for teams to prepare for UIL State!
CX Debate Resolution: Resolved: The United States federal government should substantially increase its protection of water resources in the United States.
Beyond the competition, Austin Community College’s Communication Studies Department would like to provide your students with exciting information about Austin Community College and majoring in Communication Studies.
Registration for the tournament and tournament schematics will be supported by tabroom.com. All schools, judges and competitors will need to set up accounts on tabroom.com to have access to the virtual tournament.

Keep in mind students will need to have their own tabroom account created and linked to the school/institution they attend and an email address attached/linked to their account.
