East Los Angeles District Qualifier
for the 2022 National Tournament
When: Friday March 11 and Saturday 12 2022
Where: Arroyo High School
Events: Dramatic Interp, DUO Interp, Humorous Interp, Informative Speaking, International Extemp, National Extemp, Original Oratory, Program Oral Interp.
Entry Fees: Speech Events - $20.00
Judge Ratio: One for Five Entries. It is vital that you meet your judge obligation!
Type of Tournament: Live and In-Person
Covid Protocols: All Coaches, Competitors, Judges and Visitors must be full Vaccinated or Have proof of Negative Covid Test within the last 72 hours. With respect to masking:Please do not occupy the first two rows of desks. Masks must be worn by all competitors, wearing one while speaking is their option. Students will be allowed to be un-masked while performing.
*All students must be active members of the NSDA with at least 25 competitive points before entry will be accepted. They must also have an active NSDA Account
** All schools must be fully on all outstanding NSDA School and Membership Fees in Order to Compete (Not Tournament Fees)

Public Forum:Resolved: In the United States, the benefits of increasing organic agriculture outweigh the harms.
Policy:Resolved: The United States federal government should substantially increase its protection of water resources in the United States.
Big Question:Resolved: On balance, societies benefit from religious belief and practice.
Congress: The Senate Will Set Their own Agenda
House Round 1 -A Bill to Return Mount Rushmore and the Black Hills to the Lakota Sioux
House Round 2 -A Bill to Protect the US Dollar from the Threat of Cryptocurrency
In the House Final - The Chamber will decide on its agenda with the remaining bills.
