Blue Valley West is excited to host you!  Some rules of the house:

1. Novices only 

2. You must bring one judge for every two teams entered (trustworthy varsity debaters are fine).

3. We will use online ballots.  Make sure your judges know how to do that.

4. We're debating the water topic with 8-5-3 time limits.

5. You'll have wifi--please use speechdrop to avoid delaying rounds waiting for e-mail chains.

6. We will adhere to the Blue Valley masking policy on the day of our tournament.  This means masks are optional.  Please don't bring students if they aren't comfortable being around unmasked people.

7. I'll have pizza for pre-order on tabroom.  Please place orders by Wednesday, Dec. 3rd.

8.  We had a million forfeits at our October tournament and it made my judges furious and gave me a headache.  If a team forfeits a round, they'll be removed from the tournament.  

9. My own students will be debating in this tournament because we're equally desperate for end-of-season novice tourneys.  

SCHEDULE:

Round 1 - 8:00-9:30am

Round 2 - 9:45-11:15am

Round 3 - 11:30-1:00pm

Round 4 - 1:30-3:00pm

Round 5 - 3:15-4:45pm
