Tales of Two Cities Hybrid Tournament

2021 — NSDA Campus, Broomfield CO, CO/US

Dear Coaches,

“It was the best of times, it was the worst of times . . .” It was the age of virtual competition, it was the era of in person tournaments. You get the gist!

You are cordially invited to the Holy Family & Kent Denver Varsity Invitational - The Tales of Two Cities! This competition will be held both IN PERSON with an additional VIRTUAL option for those schools who cannot attend in person on Saturday, November 13th. This will be a great place to practice for the NIETOC Qualifier at Greeley Central the following week!

** We are recommending masks for all spectators.  Unvaccinated individuals are strongly encouraged to mask. Participants will be able to unmask to perform and have lunch. Thank you for your cooperation!

Tournament Highlights:

  • This tournament will be “I.E. Heaven”! Students may enter as many events as they think they can complete during a round (we recommend no more than 4 different events to allow for travel between rooms). All events are guaranteed 4 rounds.

  • No Doubling in Debate.

  • Also, we are also offering a VIRTUAL option that will begin on Friday afternoon and finish on Saturday morning to add flexibility and options for those who are not able to attend in person. This will have both Asynchronous & Synchronous Events for flexibility.

  • Do not miss this opportunity to try something new, get an extra competition run through before the NIETOC qualifier at Greeley Central, or just earn a lot of extra points for a day’s worth of competition. We cannot wait to see you here on November 13th!
