West Bend Virtual Debate Tournament

Teams:  We’re planning: VSS, NSS,  Experienced L-D, Novice/JV L-D,  Experienced Public Forum and Novice/JV Public Forum.  However, any division could be cancelled or combined if there’s low participation.  Novice means first year debater.  JV means first or second year debater. 

 Please contact us if you have a special needs student  who may need an accommodation.

Topics:  Policy - the water resources thing.  L-D and PF plan to use the November NSDA topics. 

Awards: Each debater on a winning team will receive a plaque.  Ties will be broken. 

(awards will be mailed to schools unless you include an alternate mailing address on Tabroom.)

Judge Requirements: One for every  1 or 2  teams entered in CX     Two for every 3 or 4 CX teams.

One for every 1 or 2 LD'ers   Two for every 3 or 4 LD'ers.

One for every 1 or 2 PF teams   Two for every 3 or 4 PF teams.

Judges will be used in separate pools but could be switched to help us deal with conflict situations.   Hired judges at $150 per judge.

Fees: We will charge $10 per debater.  That means each LD = $10     CX and PF = $20 per team.

You must pay for all teams entered as of noon on November 4 or added after that date.  Please make checks payable to West Bend Debate and mail to the high school (address at the top).

 Deadline:  Noon on Thursday, November 4.  Use Tabroom.com  to register.  You can do your own drops on line until noon on Friday, November 5.  After noon, you must contact Knetzger.
