Waitlists

On Monday, November 1, at 6:00pm, we will begin moving students from the wait lists into events where possible. No one school may make up more than 1/3 the pool for an event so once the limit for that school has been reached, wait listed entries from other schools shall be moved in ahead of those students.

Deadlines

Registration for the Pfall Pfling will close at 6:00p.m. on Monday, November 1, 2021. Any schools already entered can continue to make changes until Tuesday, November 2, at 6:00pm. After the Tuesday deadline, any drops in any events will result in a loss of the entry fee. At 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 2, online changes will be locked. After this time, any substitutions will have to be made upon arrival on Saturday.

Cross Entries:

All entries should ensure that they are not cross entered in conflicting events as test start times will not be held for cross entered competitors.

Concessions/Hospitality:

A hospitality room will be available for all coaches and judges. We are budgeting food for coaches and judges only, so we respectfully ask that coaches do not feed their students from the hospitality room. There is a Pizza Hut, and Golden Chick within walking distance of the High School for students.  All are located on the East side of the high school.

School Policies:

We are thrilled that you are attending our tournament, and many of you will be bringing first time competitors.  Please remind them of common tournament etiquette such as:

·              Do not enter a room without an adult test proctor present.

·              Respect school property.

·              Rooms will be set up for competition, do not rearrange furniture.  Disrupting room set-up will be grounds for disqualification and forfeiture of contest fees.

·              Do not sit at or use items in or around the teachers' desks.

·              Keep all food/drink in the cafeteria (with the exception of water).

·              No loud electronic devices

·              Tobacco, alcohol, and illegal substances are prohibited on PFISD campuses.

·              The school's computers all require specific login information so please do not plan/attempt to use them.

·              An adult sponsor must be present at all times.

Students who violate these courtesies risk personal disqualification and potentially team disqualification as well. We want everyone to have a successful educational experience.

Covid Protocals:

No outside personnel are allowed on campus except for coaches & chaperones accompanying their students. Masks will be provided for students/coaches who do not bring their own. There is hand sanitizer provided in each testing room and desks in the testing rooms will be sanitized after each test administration.

Entries/Drops:

Please remember: No additional entries on the day of the tournament.  You may only substitute within your school for the same event if there is a drop.  This is to help keep the tournament running more efficiently. Also, all students must be entered through their school and have a sponsor or coach in attendance. No independent entries please.

Awards & Sweepstakes Formula:

Schools will be awarded points per event up to the UIL maximum for that event as per the UIL Constitution. Trophies will be given for the top three schools for overall sweepstakes and for individual places 1-3 in academic events, with ribbons being awarded for places 4-6.
